WHAT'S THE SPICE LEVEL?
Our spice kits are only mildly spicy, but you’ll feel a bit of heat if you don’t generally eat spicy food. If you’re a spice veteran, feel free to add hot sauce or fresh chillies for a kick.
ARE YOUR PRODUCTS VEGAN? ALLERGEN-FREE?
Our rendang and red curry spice kits are vegan. Our laksa is pescatarian. All our products are gluten-free, dairy-free, grain-free, soy-free, peanut-free, keto and non-GMO. We do not use coloring and preservatives, and use unrefined coconut sugar. We also source naturally non-GMO sunflower oil, avoiding more common but unhealthy oils like palm oil.
HOW ABOUT SHELF STABLE?
Unopened spice kits can be safely stored at room/ ambient temperatures. Once opened, they should be refrigerated in an airtight container and consumed within 1 month as we do not use preservatives in our products.
WHAT SORT OF PROTEINS AND VEGETABLES CAN I USE?
Literally anything. The recipes behind each packet recommend a range of options including chicken, beef, shrimp, tofu, seitan, carrots and potatoes. But our customers have been very creative with our spice kits. Feel free to check out our recipe page for ideas. You do you!
WHAT’S UP WITH THE COCONUT MILK?
Coconut milk is a staple Southeast Asian cooking ingredient and is recommended with our spice kits, although cream or stock can be used as substitutes. Our coconut milk bundle comes with 6 individual 250 ml cartons to go with the 6 spice kits you’ll receive.
